How to fit Honda Monkey Wheels on your Honda Dio - J's Garage

In this episode I cover how to turn a cheap aliexpress/chinese wheel set into a Honda Dio Monkey wheel rear hub, this should work on any AF16, AF18 or AF34. The Wheels - https://www.aliexpress.com/item/motor... The PCD of the monkey are 91mm (or 90mm if you look online in some places) The locating boss has a diameter of 75mm... You want to clean up the face but leave as much material as possible to tap! Also the tapped holes will hit the braking surface so be careful and only drill and tap to the appropriate depth. Use a bottoming tap to make sure you have nice threads all the way down! You need to tap 4 places M8x1.25 You could weld up the face a bit to provide more material, which is what I believe the gentleman on Yahoo.jp was doing, but then distortion of the axle to the drum may become an issue.
