Estonian Nupp
In this video, I demonstrate how to make an Estonian Nupp (rhymes with "soup".) This stitch is created over two rows in your knitting. A single stitch is increased to 7 on a right side row and then the 7 stitches are decreased back to 1 on a wrong side row. The most important thing to remember about working Nupps, is to keep all of your increases nice and loose so that they can all be purled together easily on the return row. Helpful tips: Use nice, sharp-tipped needles, place a stitch marker BEFORE, and AFTER making your Nupp increases. This ensures that you don't purl any extra stitches or yarnovers on the return row. The shawl featured in this video is my Bloomscape shawl design. You can download the pattern here: https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/libr...
