History of chowdavada Reza || Datla Raghunathraju garu reza line ⚠️Disclaimer⚠️ No animals or Birds were harmed during this video This documentary is for education purposes to preserve old India Aseel fowl from existence The Asil or Aseel is an Indian breed or group of breeds of game chicken the name Asil means pure chicken breed . It is distributed in much of India, particularly in the states of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Odisha.it has been exported to several other countries. Similar fowl are found throughout much of Southeast Asia. Asil are mainly classified into three types 👉large size asil - large asil is the breed more than 4-7kgs meanwhile large asil are also classified into two types Heavy bird , medium bird like ~ kulang Asil(origin Andhra Pradesh , Tamil Nadu),tekar asil(origin Andhra Pradesh, odisha, chattisgarh, tamilnadu),Armullan asil(Kerala) , Madras Asil , long Tail Parrot beak fancy breed 👉Short size asil - Reza's Mostly in between 3-1.80 kg mostly all they are rezas . the small size rezas are very spead and agressive the birds are mostly in northern India around 1.80 kg to 2 kg , in southern India rezas are around 2-3 kg weight with big muscles chowdavada Reza, punjabi reza, Rampuri Reza, Meerut jaw Reza ,Amroha Aseel REZA ASIL The Reza is a small Asil with a weight not exceeding a weight of about 3 Kg (6.6 Lbs). This group of Asil reached worldwide popularity due to books and articles written by the English gamefowl expert Herbert Atkinson, Siran and Paul Deraniyagala from Sri Lanka and Carlos Finsterbusch from Chile. The Reza Asil family according the old (Western) gamefowl literature is subdivided into following strains: (Amir) Ghan, Sonatol, (Siyah) Rampur, Kalkatiya (Kaptan) and Jawa. All these strains are indentified by their specific color (!) In chronological order: blackreds, lightreds, black, speckled reds and silver duckwings. In the old days (colonial times) other colors such as whites, spangles, etcetra were regarded as -inferior-. According Herbert Atkinson purebred Asil should not exceed the weight of 3 Kg (6.6 Lbs). At present day the “classic” strains and names given mentioned by Atkinson are more or less forgotten. Anyone with a bit of breeding expirience will understand that after many decades the vitality of a bloodline slowly will be prone to degeneration. Remark: the native people in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka only know the Reza-type Asil by their local names (see Names paragraph).
