Marine Biologist Plays Subnautica 2 Early Access

IT'S FINALLY HERE! Subnautica 2 Early Access is out and we get to dive right back in to a universe with scary (and sometimes cute!) marine life, evil corporations, and survival on an alien planet. What fresh new horrors shall we greet this time around? A massive thanks to Unknown Worlds Entertainment for sending me a Stream key and allowing me to play early, it means the literal world to me. In this very first episode, we crash land onto a new world, get our bearings, explore our new watery world, and get to scanning! Three notes that came up: I brought up evolution to pre-emptively anticipate that people often say a character or player "evolves" but this would be inaccurate to say, but the game itself does not use that. Also, I meant to say that "lucifer" in biology refers to light and means "light-bearer," not that it directly means "light." Sphinctozoans do exist!
