On Wednesday, January 12, 2022, the FDOT and community partners celebrated the inauguration of 2.2 miles of newly rehabilitated Historic Seven Mile Bridge from Knights Key (Marathon) to Pigeon Key. This video highlights the history of this National Register of Historic Places-listed bridge and the unique engineering and construction methodologies used to restore the century-old bridge to the U.S. Secretary of Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation of historic structures.
