Caminos de tiza - El trabajo por proyectos

How do schools work with integrated projects? How do you put together a project? And what differentiates it from traditional planning? What obstacles might this approach present? And what are its potential benefits? Together with Diego Mazzoni (Professor of Educational Sciences and teacher) and Lorena Kordon (Vice Principal of Escuela del Parque), we review the origins of project-based learning and learn how it is implemented today at Escuela del Parque. We hear from some primary school students, their art teacher, and the kindergarten director. We also explore another experience: School No. 35 in La Matanza, “Abraham Lincoln.” We visit the school to speak with its teachers and students and meet with its principal, Silvana Siles, who tells us about the school garden project they are developing. Through this project, those in charge explain, the school not only integrates different subjects around a common goal but also strongly involves the entire school community.
