Formula Drift Round 3: Orlando Speedworld - Uncharted Territory In this round Recap - Mad Mike and team head back to Orlando Speedworld for the 2nd year in his Red Bull, Nitto Tire, Mazda MX5 - RADBUL Charging into Orlando, Mad Mike battled the extreme summer heat and humidity of Florida. After a scorching practice session, it was into qualifying where he managed to put down 2 solid qualifying runs which secured him a spot in the main competition. The team prepared for one of the hottest rounds in the championship. His first battle with Ken Gushi, was never going to be an easy one but one which Mad Mike was looking forward to. Ken Gushi led the first run with Mad Mike sticking to his door laying down an incredible chase run. As Mad Mike lined back up on the grid he was informed by the Formula DRIFT grid marshal that one of his rear tires had de-beaded. Unfortunately, as the rules state you are not permitted to re-seat a tyre mid battle which out an end to the weekend for the team. Mad Mike is still the points leader in the World Championship. The next event for the team is Formula DRIFT New Jersey.
