$$$$ How Much SHOULD You Pay For a Ford FE 428 Engine?

With only only five model years of production, the venerable Ford 428FE is getting tougher and tougher to find. Unlike the legendary 390 which was installed in passenger cars for eleven model years, the donor Galaxies, LTD's, Thunderbirds, and big Merc's these engines were installed in are getting fewer and farther between. Especially considering that the non Cobra Jet versions were only used from 1966 through 1968. We love the Cobra Jets and the Super Cobra Jets but they're a bit pricey for our blue collar budget. Hopefully we can give you a little insight on how and where to look. They're still out there.
