East German "pattern 2" canteen

This video will cover the second pattern East German canteen. This is one of the few plastic canteens I like and it has a lot of useful features and hinderances over other canteens. This canteen doesn't make the water taste bad after some use and cleaning as well as being able to float, is insulated, and has rubberized hardware and straps. Some downfalls to this canteen are the plastic which you can't put hot stuff in and the cup which is just really to small to be practical cooking or disinfecting water but still nice to have and the fact this canteen doesn't not free stand very well.
