For over 10 years, the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation has been developing strategically important Russian macroregions. Its key objective is to create a comfortable business climate for private investors and entrepreneurs. To this end, an extensive regulatory framework has been established, and residents of the Advanced Special Economic Zones (ASEZs), the Kuril Islands, the Free Port of Vladivostok, and the Arctic Special Economic Zone (SEZ) have access to a wide range of benefits and preferences. The head of the FEDC reported on the corporation's performance over the past year and the current period, emphasizing the steady growth of investment activity. ✅By the end of 2025, the number of new investment projects in the Far East reached 674, and investors had invested a record 1 trillion rubles in projects in the Far East alone. The corporation's total portfolio consists of over 4,000 projects with declared investments of 15 trillion rubles, of which 6.8 trillion rubles have already been invested, and nearly 1,400 projects have been implemented. Today, the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC) uses various government support tools to attract investors, including preferential regimes, tax breaks, land and infrastructure provision, and customs preferences. According to Nikolai Zapryagaev, construction began last year on the new industrial technology parks "Zapadnaya" in Primorsky Krai and "Rovnoye" in Amur Oblast. The Kadalinsky park in Transbaikalia will open in 2026. Residents are equipping laboratories to bring their developments to market. 🔹Two scientific and educational complexes are under construction: an IT cluster and a Biotechnology complex, with a total area of ​​over 50,000 square meters, where infrastructure will be created for the implementation of scientific research in collaboration with businesses and investors. 🔹World-class projects are scheduled to launch this year. These include the world's largest Amur Gas Chemical Complex in Svobodny and copper cathode production at the Udokan Mining and Metallurgical Plant in Transbaikalia. 🏭Plans include the construction of oil refineries and petrochemical plants, new copper and iron mining facilities in the Khabarovsk and Zabaikalsky Krais, as well as a printed circuit board and microwave equipment plant in Primorsky Krai and Khabarovsk Krai. 📌The Prime Minister highlighted the new airport terminal in Khabarovsk, which he visited during the construction phase. The investor completed the project on time and within the agreed upon terms, which, according to Mikhail Mishustin, is crucial for the implementation of investment projects in the Far East. The Far East is becoming increasingly accessible to travelers. The Far East Development Corporation is actively involved in the development of tourism infrastructure. In 2025, the number of tourist trips to the Far East will exceed 7.2 million – a 9% increase from 2024. The leading regions are Primorsky Krai, Khabarovsk Krai, Buryatia, Amur Oblast, and Kamchatka. "Every tenth of our projects in the Far East is in the tourism and recreation sector. Around 300 investment agreements have been signed for the construction of ski resorts, hotels, spa centers, and recreation centers," noted Nikolai Zapryagaev.
