What happens when an off-road novice decides to challenge the giant dunes of Morocco? In this video, I take you with my friend Carmelo and I on an incredible adventure that began with a meeting at EICMA with the legendary Federico "Marret" Marretta. Even though I'd only been riding an Aprilia Tuareg 660 Rally for a few months, I decided to take the plunge: we flew to Merzouga and hopped on rented KTMs to tackle Erg Chebbi. Accompanied by an expert local guide and a group of new friends (because motorcycles always bring people together!), we rode fast trails and climbed dunes that looked like walls of sand. It wasn't a walk in the park. Between the sweat, the extreme fatigue, and those moments when you ask yourself, "Why did I do this?", I discovered the true magic of the desert.
