Earthquake: The Big One | *1992* Universal Studios Florida

Hi there! Today, I'm bringing you a ride through of Earthquake: The Big One at Universal Studios Florida from 1992. Earthquake: The Big One was a simulator ride at Universal Studios Florida from 1990 to 2008. It was a dark ride that used special effects to simulate an 8.3 magnitude earthquake in San Francisco. Its main inspiration came from the 1974 disaster film, Earthquake! The attraction took place in a theater that could seat over 600 people at once, and it was one of the biggest attractions at Universal Studios Florida when it opened. In 2008, Universal Studios decided to close the attraction down and replace it with Disaster: A Major Motion Picture Ride...Starring You, which was very similar to this attraction, just with more timely references.
