The Andre Spearguns IRONWOOD Series comes in euro or midhandle positions and in three lengths - 110cm, 120cm & 145cm. Ironwood is a dense, negatively buoyant wood. The IRONWOOD Series uses ironwood down the center of the speargun for ballast and strength. The blond hardwood paired up with the brownish red ironwood creates a uniquely beautiful contrast. The laminates on the Ironwood Series are wide with a narrow vertical build. The sleek design makes it easy to track fish. The 110/120cm accommodates two 5/8 power bands. The 145cm takes three 5/8 power bands. The spear track is recessed into the stock to guide the spear accurately and quietly down the barrel. The IRONWOOD is rigged with a 9/32 diameter spear. The 9/32 is ideal for less recoil, and a perfect diameter for durability for shooting most fish. The Irownwood 110/120 are great for spearfishing around rock reef and coral areas in the shallows. The shorter stock is easily maneuverable on the reef for fish like lingcod, calico, sheepshead, halibut and snapper. The 120 is great for hunting fish like white sea bass or stripped bass in lower visibility.
