The main thing i should've mentioned at the start is that the sqrt(-1) is represented by 'i'..... this is because the sqrt(-1) is a 'math error' on your calculator so using Imaginary Numbers allows us to deal with negative square roots. For Example Sqrt(-16) is a math error but if we split it up we can say sqrt(16) x sqrt(-1) =(4) x (i) = 4i So essentially, Sqrt(-16) is 4i
