The Film „The University on the German-Polish border" is about the way that students come to Frankfurt (Oder) and how the city becomes an important part of their lives. It shows how the college experience here begins and how it pays off. The video tells the story of Justyna, who is about to graduate and looks for some information about universities and studies. After some time she finds the Viadrina website and decides to visit Frankfurt (Oder). She explores the city and visits the university. She asks students their opinion about their studies at Viadrina. Eventually Justyna takes her final exam and has to decide where she wants to study. Thanks to her trip to Frankfurt and the information that she gathered, it was an easy decision -- she chooses Viadrina. Justyna first looks for a flat in Frankfurt, and gets the formalities of the university and city administration out of the way. After that she can finally start her studies. The experience was great. Viadrina takes care of its students not only before and during studies, but they also provide services from The Career Center to help students and graduates find a career path. It offers training, individual advice and mediates apprenticeship and job offers between employers and students. Justyna looks for information there and gets the help that she needs.
