Asi construían en el Valparaíso de antes.

In these old Valparaíso houses, one can still discern a building style that has almost vanished. Thick adobe walls, heights approaching three meters, wooden windows with multiple panes of glass, and spacious interiors, designed to breathe, maintain temperature, and withstand the test of time. Adobe wasn't just earth: it was mass, thickness, warmth, and craftsmanship. These rooms hold humidity, silence, and memories; but they also reveal what that old Valparaíso was like, built with noble materials: wood, mud, lime, and patience. Today, many of these houses are dilapidated, but they continue to tell a story. Every cracked wall, every broken window, and every abandoned room reminds us that construction was different back then: on a different scale, with a different logic, and with a much more direct connection to the climate, the land, and the daily life of the port. @MunRoder Explorer, Engineer, and Content Creator.
