Jedward first live UK TV appearance with Robbie Williams - The X Factor 2009 - full HQ version

This is Jedwards', (or John and Edward as they were known then), first live UK television appearance on The X Factor. The programme was broadcast on October 10th 2009. Originally as you will see from the video John & Edward were treated as a bit of a joke or a novelty act, patronised by some of the judges and insulted by others, or both in the case of Simon Cowell. However sometimes as these guys proved, singing isn't everything. The public kept voting for them and they stayed in the competition until the final stages of the contest. Look at Robbie Williams face as he attempts to give the twins a 'masterclass' - he just doesn't know what to make of them and describes them as "a tornado of talk". As you will also see from the video clip, they had to deal with some awful press coverage from the English tabloid media leading up to their live tv debut.
