Dual Escapement 3-Axis Tourbillon

This is a new design that I've started. It's based on a Jacob & Co, 'Mystery Tourbillon' watch. Covered in 84 carets of gems, the $1.8M watch is sort of gaudy, but I found the movement really interesting. There are two tourbillons mounted back to back on a central carrier. Torque is supplied though a tiny differential to the tourbillons, which is driven by the outer ring rotating against the large ring internal gear. The animation runs slow, but I wanted to show that I have the gear train basically complete. All the gears are mated, and all I'm doing is rotating the outer ring. Note that the Balance Wheel and Fork are not engaged for this animation. There is more information and some still shots on my Instagram page if you are interested.   / mcmaven.pdx
