1960s Gibson GA-5T Skylark Amp Service, Restoration & Demo
Here we'll go completely through a vintage 1965 Gibson Crestline era GA5T Skylark Tube amp and service it. We'll also restore the handle, make a custom repro logo, look at some schematics, and slightly modify the circuit to remove the 'tone sucking' network and change one coupling capacitor to enhance bass response and gain and make the tone less tinny and harsh. Finally we'll demonstrate the amp with a Gibson SG Standard and a Fender '52 Telecaster.
