Endrina Zeka – Hello Bird

There once was a little bird By the river where I spend my days. He stood among the reeds so quietly, Watching me from far away. His feathers carried many colors, Like pieces of the sky at dawn. He looked at me for just a moment, Then spread his wings and he was gone. I came back to the same old river, Hoping I would see him there. And once again he came before me, But flew away into the air. I was happy to see him flying, Free to wander where he chose. Still, deep inside, I wished he’d trust me, And softly land upon my nose. Later on I found a flower, Taller than I’d ever seen. Standing proud beside the water, Bright and beautiful and green. I left it there beneath the sunshine, Where the river sings all day. Some things are not meant to be taken, But loved and admired from far away.
