Fallen LA County Sheriff's Deputy Honored in Procession From Lancaster to Medical Examiner
LOS ANGELES, Sept. 18 (KNN) — The procession for fatally shot Palmdale Sheriff's Deputy Ryan Clinkunbroomer made its way to the Los Angeles County Coroner's office on Mission Road from Lancaster early Sunday morning. The body of Deputy Clinkunbroomer was escorted by sheriff's patrol vehicles as the fire department and law enforcement officers lined the roadway in the area of the coroner's office for one final salute to the fallen deputy just after 2 a.m. Sunday. Family and friends also joined in the procession and were present when the deputy arrived at the medical examiner's office. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputy was found shot in his patrol vehicle Saturday evening and rushed to Antelope Valley Medical Center in critical condition where he was later pronounced deceased. Initial reports indicate the wounded deputy was transported to the medical center around 6 p.m. by responding deputies from Lancaster and Palmdale stations.
