If you've ever had a pet you've had to leave behind, you'll know the kind of quiet ache that doesn't really go away. This week, we stepped into a dog cafe in Harajuku. 40min with poodles, spaniels, terriers, you name it. Scientists apparently call what happens to your brain during positive animal contact a release of "happy chemicals" — oxytocin, serotonin.
