Here's a review of The Royal Highland Hotel in Inverness, Scotland, UK. It's one of the oldest Railway Hotels and has a fabulous Grand Staircase that inspired the one on the Titanic. But will it be the best Railway Hotel we've stayed in? This is the NINTH of my reviews of the famous British Transport Hotels. Built in 1856 and integral to Inverness Railway Station, The Royal Highland Hotel is a magnificent building Victorian building. We're staying in a Royal Room and we'll have a full room tour. We'll check out the elegant public rooms, including the Titanic Staircase, the Ash Bar and the Wallace Room for Breakfast. Next, we'll stroll through the pretty streets of Inverness, visiting iconic sights like Inverness Cathedral and the suspension bridges over the Rover Ness. After a day of exploration, we'll unwind with a glass of red wine in the bar at the hotel.
