Arabic Adjectives - All You Need to Know
Don't miss the quiz at 13:35!! In order to be able to speak Arabic fluently, it’s important to be able to describe nouns using adjectives. This will allow you to create more descriptive and interesting sentences. Adjectives in Arabic must agree with the gender (masculine or feminine) and number (singular, dual, or plural) of the noun they are describing, as well as in definiteness and case whether it be in the nominative, accusative, or genitive case. Something interesting about Arabic adjectives is that unlike English, adjectives come after the noun it is describing. For example, when saying “big house” the translation in Arabic would be :بيت كبير" which would literally translate to “house big”. In this lesson, we cover how to match the adjectives and nouns.
