Hello everyone! Bright summer sunshine is here already. While winter is my favorite season, I’m growing to love the lush energy of early summer too. Recently I shared on Instagram that I received a commission—this video captures the entire creative process. Furiel is the brand I collaborated with on the mini Changer water purifier in April, and they loved the mock-up I created, which led to the actual project. Though I assumed small panels would be quick, each took over 5 hours! The finished panels will be randomly gifted to four purchasers of the mini Changer, and one lucky person will receive both the panel and the purifier. I wanted to make them extra special since they’re gifts for my subscribers. Each illustration holds personal meaning—what’s your favorite? Mine is the “Squirrel Picnic.” After pulling an all-nighter and applying varnish, all fatigue just disappeared. I think it’s moments like that that keep me painting.
