In this Video... This video came about after a friend asked me about buying a spot meter. So I put mine into action to show how I use it for a particular scene, if it benefited me over an incident meter, and what are the benefits of using one. Should you buy one? Well, that all depends on you and your process. 100% if you shoot large format and print in the darkroom. With roll film and various lit scenes contained within, maybe not so much. But for me it is very useful to measure a scenes brightness range for making a darkroom print. But most of my work relies on an incident meter or my cameras internal meter. I take my spot meter with me on scapes mostly where I have time to settle in and study the tonality of a scene, especially with large format. #analogphotography #spotmeter #lightmeter Beginners may learn...
