Elden Ring is supposed to be a masterpiece. A “game of the generation.” So why does it already feel like homework? This is my first time ever playing Elden Ring, and I’m going in with zero nostalgia, zero bias… and very low expectations. From confusing mechanics to unnecessary punishment, I’m trying to understand why this game gets a free pass for things other games get roasted for.
