Tubarão morde jovem de 19 anos em Boa Viagem, no Recife PE

The coastline of the Recife Metropolitan Region recorded two shark attacks in less than 24 hours. The first case occurred at Piedade Beach, in Jaboatão dos Guararapes, where a victim was attacked while in the sea. A few hours later, a second incident was recorded at Boa Viagem Beach, in the southern zone of Recife, involving a 19-year-old woman. These two cases reignited the alert about the risks of swimming in areas considered to have a higher incidence of shark attacks. Rescue teams and authorities were called to assist the victims and reinforce safety guidelines for bathers. Experts recommend avoiding entering the sea in marked areas, especially in deep areas, near channels, and during unfavorable tide and visibility conditions. The episodes drew the attention of the population and highlighted once again the importance of caution on the beaches of the Pernambuco coast. Recife, June 2, 2026
