Ahmaud Arbery’s Family Give Victim Statements Ahead of Killers’ Sentencing

Marcus Arbery addressed a Brunswick courtroom Friday to share why and what he thinks should happen to the three white men convicted of killing his son, Ahmaud. Arbery says he prays no one present in court ever has to endure the pain his family has felt following the death of his son. He added the men should spend the rest of their lives behind bars “because me and my family, we got to deal with his death for the rest of our life. We will never see Ahmaud again.” Ahmaud’s sister, Jasmine, and mother Wanda Cooper-Jones also gave impactful statements.
