Marmara Gölü Yok Olmasın!

Manisa'nın kuş cenneti Marmara Gölü, son 10 yılda yanlış tarım ve su politikaları nedeniyle yüzey alanının %98’lik kısmını kaybetti. Burada yok olan su kütlesi değil kıymetli bir sulak alan ekosistemi. Göl çevresinde yaşayan bazı aileler balıkçılığın sona ermesi nedeniyle göç etmek zorunda kaldı. Burada yaşayan kuşlar göl kurumaya devam ederse burayı terk ederek başka yaşam alanları bulmaya çalışacak. Endemik balıklar ise yok olacak. Göl ve çevresinde yaşayan tüm canlıların sağlıklı bir ekosistemde yaşama hakkı elinden alınmış olacak. Acilen gölün ana besleme kaynağı olan Gördes Barajı’nda tutulan su göle bırakılmalı. Aynı zamanda Ahmetli Regülatörü’nden de su verilmeli. Sulak alanların korunması yönetmeliğine göre koruma altında olan göl, susuz bir yaz daha geçirirse geri dönüşü olmayan ekolojik ve kültürel kayıplar yaşanacak. Don' Let Marmara Lake Disappear! Manisa's bird paradise, Marmara Lake, has lost 98% of its surface area in the last ten years due to wrong agriculture and water policies. It is not the mass of water destroyed here but a precious wetland ecosystem. Some families living around the lake had to migrate due to the end of fishing activities. If the lake keeps drying up, the birds living there will have to leave this place and try to find other habitats. Endemic fish will disappear. All creatures living in the lake and its surroundings will be deprived of their right to live in a healthy ecosystem. The water held in Gördes Dam, which is the primary feeding source of the lake, should be released into the lake immediately. At the same time, water should be supplied from the Ahmetli Regulator. If the lake, which is under protection according to the regulation on the protection of wetlands, spends another summer without water, there will be irreversible ecological and cultural losses.
