Huddersfield Comes Alive with Irish Spirit for 2025 St Patrick’s Day Parade

Huddersfield was awash with green on Sunday, 16th March 2025, as the town celebrated its 23rd annual St Patrick’s Day Parade. The festivities, held at Huddersfield Open Market on Brook Street, saw a lively turnout of locals and visitors eager to embrace the spirit of Ireland. From 12:00 noon to 4:00 pm, the market was transformed into a hub of entertainment, featuring a spectacular showcase of traditional Irish music, dance, and culture. Crowds were treated to the sounds of Aidan Kilroy and friends, while the Cassidy School of Irish Dancing dazzled with their impressive footwork. The energy soared with a vibrant carnival-style performance, complete with set dancers bringing the rhythms of Ireland to life. Musical highlights included performances from the Irish duo Across the Moone and the legendary Fianna Phadraig Pipe Band, whose stirring melodies filled the air. Families enjoyed an array of activities, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere that truly captured the essence of St Patrick’s Day. The parade wouldn't be possible without the St. Patrick's Day Parade Committee, who organise the celebration every year.
