The Bluebell Railway | 'Giants of Steam' Gala - October 11th & 12th 2024

The Bluebell Railway's infamous 'Giants of Steam Gala' never fails to bring together a good collection of large locomotives at a single event, and 2024 was no exception. A great line up of home locomotives was supported by star guest A4 60007 'Sir Nigel Gresley' courtesy of Crewe LSL. This is the third A4 to visit Giants of Steam events in the last 10 years. Stealing the show however was newly completed Brighton Atlantic 32424 'Beachy Head', a locomotive I personally have been very much looking forward to seeing. Alongside these two celebrities was the lines resident Bulleid Light Pacific 34059 'Sir Archibald Sinclair', now almost one year into it's latest boiler ticket. Saturday 12th was less impressive, with cloud taking charge for most of the day. Never the less, it was an incredibly enjoyable event with plenty of action.
