Former Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu has broken his silence. On the day parliament approved the new government led by Vasile Tofan, he published a lengthy address on social media, summing up his tenure, rejecting one of the leading theories behind his resignation, and offering instructions to his successor. Munteanu denies that he resigned because of the tax reform, which he claims was professionally prepared and highly praised by experts both domestically and internationally, including the International Monetary Fund.
