#GSCAtHome - Land Yachts
In today's GSC at Home, you will be designing and building a land yacht! But first, a question: what actually is a land yacht? A land yacht is a car with a sail(s) or a boat with wheels! That means it's a vehicle powered by the wind, as it travels on land. For his land yacht, Andy uses cardboard, kebab skewers, an empty plastic strawberry tub, a cardboard tube (toilet roll/kitchen roll), and paper for the sail, using scissors and tape to put it all together. You can use whatever you have at home to create your land yacht - get creative to see what makes the best one! This video is fun for the whole family, but requires adult permission and supervision, particularly if using scissors or any other sharp objects. If you do this experiment, share your land yachts with us on our social media channels below - whilst we can't respond to every comment, we do love seeing and reading about how you get on with our #GSCAtHome activities. 🤳🏼 / glasgowsciencecentre / gsc1 / glasgowsciencecentre For more information about #GSCAtHome, visit: https://www.glasgowsciencecentre.org/...
