We Tried a New Fishing Spot in Alaska… and It Turned Into This
We head out to the Eklutna Tailrace near Palmer, Alaska to find some unfrozen water and test out our fishing setups before the season starts. While we discovered that the fish haven't arrived yet, it turns into a great day exploring the area, dialing in our rigs, and letting the kids roam. From building boats to throwing rocks, finding “quicksand,” and exploring where the tailrace meets the Knik River, this was one of those days that reminded us it’s not always about catching fish — it’s about being outside together. eklunta tailrace fishing, palmer alaska fishing, knik river alaska, early season fishing alaska, family fishing trip, alaska outdoor family, fishing setup practice
