This led me to the concept of the relative minor. I realized that you don’t have to learn an entirely new minor scale to solo over minor chords. You can use the major scale of the key you’re in—just start on the A note. The magic of this simple approach is that the major scale contains all the same tones as the corresponding minor chord.
