How to change the Belt on an upright 60 gallon 5 hp air compressor

Today we are changing the belt on the Puma 60 gallon single stage 3 piston 5 hp 135 max PSI 20 CFM air compressor. To access the belt you need a 1/2” socket wrench to loosen the motor and the shroud. A reversible quick clamp, scrap 3/4” square block of wood, and a 2’ straight edge. Additionally you may need a 4 mm Allen key to adjust the alignment of the motor pulley. This air compressor has A 4L530 v belt (53” long, 1/2” wide 5/16” depth) The most important step is to get the two pulleys in Parallel alignment so the belt tracks smooth and consistent.
