I hope this helps other motorcycle travelers like me... I entered Laos from Vietnam via the LaLay border. 1. Parked near the vehicle inspection station. 2. Entered the building and got my passport stamped. 3. Passed the vehicle inspection station, rode my motorcycle, and lined up at the inspection station. 4. Passed (No Blue Card or Driver's License check). 5. Passport check on the way to Laos. 6. Passport stamped at the arrival office in Laos. 7. When riding my motorcycle out, the passport stamp was checked at the entrance. 8. Entry successful. During this process, no money was asked for; all I needed was my passport. I exchanged money with some ladies at the Vietnam border: 4 million VND → 3.2 million Kip. Since I said I wouldn't do it, they gave me 3.2 million Kip instead of 3 million.
