SCM OIKOS X - 6-axis CNC machining centre for timber construction

It is the new 6-axis CNC machining centre for the wood construction industry, designed to offer the sector an increasingly technological and high-performance solution. Oikos x is dedicated to structural beams, X-lam/CLT wall panels and insulating panels processing and is the result of careful research and development by SCM, which has always produced cutting-edge solutions and highly evolved and flexible numerically controlled machining centres. Oikos x is the new technological frontier for the production of different type of structural beams and wall panels up to 1,250 mm wide. The model stands out for the perfect symmetry of the new 6-axis operating unit, which allows any machining operation to be carried out on all faces of the element with no rotation or repositioning required and in reduced space, thus achieving high standards of precision and productivity. Other advantages of oikos x include the clamping capacity and high precision maintained over time and a significant improvement in the conditions of external environment, thanks to an excellent containment of the wood dust and shavings inside the cabin and subsequent automatic elimination, to guarantee a constant and efficient cleaning of the work area. Technological and "smart", the new cnc machining centre is enriched by Maestro beam&wall software, whose strong point is total integration with the most popular CAD systems in the sector and the possibility to manage complex projects elaborated as nesting processing, for the production of modular structures. The new eye-M multi-function and multi-touch control panel makes everyday work much easier. Oikos x also offers a video surveillance system that allows the operator to monitor the entire process in real time.
