A True History of Sea Shanties

The Assassin's Creed series has a whole set of games that take place in the Age of Sail, and feature Sea Shanties. That feels like a great vector from which to discuss the history of shanties and their popular perception. Sorry if I ruin sea shanties for you (the video doesn’t do that, don’t worry).
