This video shows you a SSD CS-P rig (compact sonic mast with hydraulic powerpack) used in russia on the caspian sea. Our client from moscow is utilising the rig for geotechnical investigation. The sonic is used in combination with the AL70 sampling providing undisturbed samples of the slurry sea bed sediments and below sediments. The water depth is max 10 meters, they sample up to 50 meters below sea bed level.
