Shanghai Metro L3&4 SATCO 03,04A02 Trains | 上海地铁 3、4 号线 上海阿尔斯通 03、04A02 “包公” 列车

Date taken: 20, 21, 22 Dec 2024 I was in Shanghai for a year-end vacation from 19 Dec 2024 till 30 Dec 2024, and got around the city by the extensive metro system. Here is a compilation of several Shanghai Electric–Alstom Transportation Equipment Co. (SATCO) ALSTOM trains operating on Lines 3 and 4 of the metro network. These trains were purchased for additional capacity on both lines and are designated the codes 03A02 and 04A02, and were nicknamed by local rail enthusiasts as "包公”， “黑包公” ("Justice Bao") as they sport a large black front and rear ends. These trains are equipped with Alstom's Optonix traction system. SATCO was also involved with the manufacturing and delivery of 18x 6-car Metropolis C751C trains, and 24x 3-car Metropolis C830C trains for Singapore's NEL and CCL respectively. More videos of my rides on these trains will be uploaded in the next few weeks and months. During this trip, I rode on 5 of the 18 metro lines - Lines 2, 3, 4, 9 and 10. Over the next few weeks (or months) I will be sharing videos of the metro trains I took during my Dec 2024 holiday in Shanghai, as well as during my short day trips in Suzhou and Nanjing.
