Suzuki Eeco Van Life: Why the Original Build Failed the Africa Test

In 2025, Suzuki approached us with a stunning Eeco camper build. On the surface, it was a "Van Life" dream, but a week in the Tankwa Karoo with overlanding influencer DieterPey revealed the hard truth: it just didn’t work in reality. From a bed that's too short for most South Africans to a lack of storage that forced us to unpack everything into the bushes just to sleep, the original build was "pretty but pointless." In this video, we break down the design flaws - including the blocked battery access and unusable drawers - and reveal our vision for Van Life 2.0. We’re stripping it back to a blank canvas. Working with partners like 4x4 Mega World, The Roofpod, Alva, and Flexopower, we’re re-engineering this Suzuki Eeco into a functional, battle-ready camper.
