A Graduation, A Funeral & New, Old Cars ║ Hang Out with This Homeschool Mom of 9 │ School Week 35

This week Thomas gets his first car. We had a few repairs done to it before we took Thomas to pick it up. When we went to get it from the repair place after hours, it wouldn't start. It turned out it had a loose battery cable, as well as an empty gas tank, but we got those things taken care of and he got to bring his car home. (For two days, he'd kept it a secret from Asher that he was getting a car so he'd have a fun surprise to show him.) Also this week, Papa Gary got his old Maverick running again. (My sister, Ami, bought the Maverick when she was in high school and drove it for several years before selling it to Papa.) In addition, we had our van detailed for the first time since buying it 6 1/2 years ago. It looked so nice when it was done! I also cleaned all of the storage drawers in the back and restocked everything. In separate videos from this week, we celebrated Solomon's birthday, Father's Day and took our Father's Day trip to the greenhouse. We also went to Thaen's graduation and had a funeral for our bunny, Snowball. After he was missing and returned some time ago, he had something wrong with him but we weren't quite sure what. Then, several days before he died, he had some sort of growth that freaked us out. I started giving him some herbs which seemed to perk him up and he seemed quite happy. The growth got smaller and changed appearance, but then... all of a sudden... he was... dead. It was a sad day. A few more things of note this week are that we tried eating a duck egg, we went to help Grandma Kitty with a small project, we visited Grandpa Frank, we took the kids shopping at Walmart (Solomon had birthday money burning a hole in his pocket), Solomon lost a tooth and we had to have Story Hour in a different part of the library because they were installing new flooring in the Children's Library.
