They were good friends who spent a lot of time together playing in the neighbourhood. On Boxing day 1996, the two boys were out playing the neighbourhood as usual and Patrick was excited to show off his new red Apollo laser bike he had received for Christmas. They were out until late that night which was not necessary unusual however the fact that they did not return the next day certainly was. The investigation into their disappearances would later be criticised and the boys have sadly just become known as the Milk Carton Kids.
