Visiting Green School Bali was an inspiring experience that truly lived up to its reputation as one of the most innovative and sustainable schools in the world. Set amidst lush jungle and flowing rivers, the campus itself feels alive—constructed from bamboo and natural materials that seamlessly blend into the environment. From the moment you arrive, it’s clear that learning here extends far beyond the classroom walls. We met with Ibu Satnam, the HR Director, who shared valuable insights into how the school attracts educators who are not only excellent teachers but also passionate advocates for sustainability, creativity, and community. Students learn through hands-on, inquiry-based projects that connect academic subjects with environmental stewardship and real-world problem-solving. Everywhere we looked, there was evidence of collaboration, curiosity, and joy—students tending to gardens, experimenting in open-air labs, and working together on sustainability projects that impact both the school and the local community. What stands out most about Green School is its holistic approach—developing not just the mind, but also the heart and conscience of each learner.
