The HARDEST 4wd track in NSW | Huge land slides | 4 ROLLOVERS | only 3 4wds made it to the top…

CONGEWAI WALKING TRACK, WATAGANS, NSW On this episode we head down to the watagans, we were aiming to be there at 7:30am. Unfortunately 2 of the 4wds were not at the meeting point when we arrived, we waiting for around 45 minutes before Cassidy went for a drive in his buggy to find them. We knew they were close because there was fresh tyre marks on the track. After an hour or so the boys turned up but the buggy wasn’t with them. At 9:30am the buggy rolls in with cass and brad. We start the track and head onto congewai walking trail, not rope rd. The track is approximately 3kms long and would normally take around 4-6 hours to complete with highly modified 4wds. That’s never the case on this track, it’s normally a 10-12 hour track! We cross the log bridge and start the incline, this is where our mate Jamie had to turn around as he wasn’t comfortable in driving the rest of the track. After about 35 minutes Jamie was calling out to us saying he had rolled his Gu wagon!! We head down to see he had slipped into a decent sized rut. We winched him down onto all 4 and got his car running again, he continued to head back out the track as we kept heading up. Cass in the buggy layed it over just as he was getting to the dog leg in the track. We got him back onto his wheels and kept moving! This is when we noticed the first land slide. The boys walked ahead with the saw and started to try and clear the track, what a mission!! I came up next and obviously drove it no issues 😉 Jake in the Gu Ute was missing his rear locker and really needed it. But with a few nice winches we got him up and over the dog leg with no damage. This is again where we noticed another landslide. Although this one was massive! The boys started to clear the track, knee deep in mud. This was an absolute winch fest to get through the mud. This wasn’t filmed unfortunately, we concentrating on getting past this really bad land slide. We managed to get the 3 4wds through, it wasn’t even 50 meters up again when we noticed half the mountain had collapsed on the track and taken the track with it. We were bloody careful and somehow got over it unscathed!! Just!!! Few more little land slides and some bush to cut back and clear with the chainsaw, but we got up to the main obstacle called “bum crack” I haven’t been able to drive it yet as it changes all the time and near 9 times out of 10 it’s wetter then water lol. We all had a decent dig and then winched up over it! Started to head back around to the top of rope rd. We head down rope rd and luckily the boys that were lost in the morning had already been up there and cleared the track! Yeewww We got down and noticed Jamie was in need of some help so we headed up and assisted him, as I was turning around I snapped my radius arm on the drivers side. Limped her back onto the trailer and strapped her on! We went to take off and the y62 bogged down and we needed Cassidy to pull us forward with his buggy haha.. What a bloody long day!! 9 hours on the track.. Jamie broke a CV Boof broke his radius arm And cass was just upset because he had to winch. Haha I would strongly recommend you not to try this track ESPECIALLY now after all the land slides. There really isn’t much of the track left and it’s on a cliff face!!
