Graphic Design Sinhala | සිංහල | Lesson 25 (Use Pathfinder in Adobe Illustrator CC 2020/2021)

In this video, I’m going to teach you how to use Pathfinder methods in the latest version of Adobe Illustrator CC 2020/2021. Pathfinder effects let you combine multiple objects using interaction modes. The Pathfinder, Adobe Illustrator Quick Tips & Tricks --- The Pathfinder panel --- Window ----Pathfinder Use the top row of buttons in the panel to make paths or compound paths. To make compound shapes, use the buttons in those rows while pressing the Alt or Option key. --- Shape Modes in Pathfinder --- Unite (Add): Traces the outline of all objects as if they were a single, merged object. Merges both selected objects following the top object. Minus Front (Subtract): Cuts out the area of the component from the underlying geometry. Removes the front (top) object. Intersect: Uses the area of the component to clip the underlying geometry as a mask would. Removes other portions and remain the intersect (overlapped) portions. Exclude (Overlapping Shape Areas): Uses the area of the component to invert the underlying geometry, turning filled regions into holes and vice versa. Removes overlapped portions and remain the other portions. --- Pathfinder options --- Divide: You can use this option to separate component-filled faces from a piece of artwork. Breaks all the overlapped selected shapes into separated pieces. Trim: Removes the part of a filled object that is hidden. Removes any strokes and doesn't merge objects of the same color. Breaks & removes the overlapped portions underneath of the top shape. Merge: Removes the part of a filled object that is hidden. Removes any strokes and merges any adjoining or overlapping objects filled with the same color. Crop: Divides artwork into its component-filled faces, and then deletes all the parts of the artwork that fall outside the boundary of the topmost object. Will make the top shape as the masking for any shapes below it, and will remove any portion outside. Outline: The outline option lets you divide an object into edges or line segments. Breaks & converts all the shapes into separated strokes. Minus Back: Subtracts the objects in the back from the frontmost object. --- About this channel --- This channel will give you the knowledge you need to become a graphic designer.
