⬇️ 🇬🇧 English below ⬇️ 🇪🇪 Eesti keel “En liten fågel” ilmus originaalpealkirjaga “Den Signade Dag” 1854. aasta lauluraamatus. Rahvapärase koraali inspiratsiooniks on 1938. aastal Ruhnus Rootsi Raadio poolt lindistatud Elias Schönbergi laul. Seade algupärane variant sündis IX Ruhnu viiulilaagris (2022). Plaadil kõlab ansambliliikmete esituses kiht-kihilt sisse mängitud viiulikoor tänuavaldusena ligi 300 osalejale, kes on 11 toimumisaasta jooksul Ruhnu viiulipärandist huvitunud ja seda edasi kandnud. Video on pühendatud Ellen Jägerile , kes teiste ruhnlaste hulgas 1944. aastal oma perega 4-aastasena saarelt pages ja alates Eesti vabaks saamisest kõik suved kodusaarel veedab. Ellen on meile suureks inspiratsiooniks ja toeks nii laagri korraldamisel kui ka teadmiste kogumisel. Tänu tema mälestustele mõistame paremini ruhnurootslaste ajalugu. Elleni naeratav nägu koduverandal istudes ja tema alati märki tabav huumorimeel on vürtsitanud pea kõiki meie Ruhnu ekspeditsioone. Noort Ellenit mängib videos Laura Grete Lõbus, kes kannab rannarootslastele iseloomulikku varrukateta triibukleiti (kleneng). 🇬🇧 English “En liten fågel” was published under the original title “Den Signade Dag” in a hymnbook from 1854. The inspiration for this chorale is Elias Schönberg's song, recorded in Ruhnu by Swedish Radio in 1938. The original arrangement was created at the 9th Ruhnu Fiddle Camp (2022). The recording features a violin choir, layered and performed by the ensemble members, as a tribute to the nearly 300 participants who, over the course of 11 years, have taken an interest in Ruhnu's fiddle heritage and helped carry it forward. The video is dedicated to Ellen Jäger , who, along with other Ruhnu islanders, fled the island with her family in 1944 at the age of four and has spent every summer on her home island since Estonia regained its independence. Ellen has been a great source of inspiration and support for us, both in organizing the camp and gathering knowledge. Thanks to her memories, we have gained a better understanding of the history of the Ruhnu Swedes. Ellen’s smiling face while sitting on her home veranda and her always spot-on sense of humor have added charm to nearly all of our Ruhnu expeditions. The young Ellen is played in the video by Laura Grete Lõbus, who is wearing a sleeveless striped dress (kleneng) characteristic of the Coastal Swedes of Estonia.
