에도시대 감성 가득한 가와고에(川越) 당일 여행

I have traveled to Kawagoe, located in Saitama Prefecture near Tokyo. Kawagoe, known as "Little Edo," is a very impressive kura-zukuri (warehouse) townscape where buildings from the old Edo period have been preserved as they were. It was great fun to stroll through the streets lined with traditional kura-zukuri houses and the Taisho-roman Dream Street with its many exotic buildings, and to wander through Showa-style candy shops that children would love. It is hard to believe that there are Edo period streets so close to Tokyo.
